Panoramas

Welcome to the Guild Chapel Interactive Panoramas

To view the panoramas you will need to have installed Apple's QuickTime plugin which is available here if your browser does not redirect you.

The interactive panoramas allow you to explore the interior of the Chapel virtual model and wall paintings with full 360 freedom of movement around any of the predefined points, which are marked by the green buttons under Panorama Navigation to the left.

After clicking on a location button it will change to red, allowing you to quickly identify where you are in the Chapel, and the panorama you selected will load on the right.

To move the panorama place your mouse cursor into the panorama box, click and hold the left mouse button and then move your mouse. As your cursor moves over the paintings you will notice an information bar at the bottom which gives the name of the painting. Clicking on any of the paintings will open a fresh webpage which describes its history, meaning or content. The bar at the bottom of the panorama box also has controls to zoom in or out.

To retain quality the panorama files are around 8mb and therefore may take a moment to download. If you have a slow internet connection it may be preferable to view the Image Maps rather than the panoramas.

Please note: Apple have disabled the function to open a new window within a QuickTime environment. When you click on painting you will be taken to a new web page and will have to use your browser's "back button" to return the panorama.
