Welcome to the Image Maps
What is an Image Map?
An image map is an interactive still image that allows you to access further information by clicking areas of the image. The image maps of the Guild Chapel can be accessed by selecting a green arrow from the plan of the Chapel to the left, located under Image Map Navigation. The arrow corresponds to the position and direction of the camera that was used to create the image inside the digital model. All the image maps feature views of the wall paintings.
After clicking on a location arrow it will change to red, allowing you to quickly identify where you are in the Chapel, and an image of the view you selected will load on the right. You can then explore the wall paintings in more detail by clicking on the areas of interest from the image; you will notice that if you leave your mouse cursor over the paintings its shape will change indicating that you can access further information. Clicking on any painting will open a fresh webpage which describes the history, meaning or content of that painting.
